It is certainly getting close to Christmas, and if you are anything like me, you have not done any Christmas shopping yet. Luckily for you, I have compiled below a list of gifts which I would love to receive. My reasoning here should be fairly obvious; if I would like it, anyone who likes stationery would like it.
Notebooks and Paper:
1. Leuchtturm1917 Master Slimline Notebook – Plain - $32.50 from Notemaker
For that artistic friend who loves to draw or write, I suggest this solid, oversized A4 notebook. I have the full-sized Master, and it’s a beauty.
2. Rhodia Bloc Pad #16 – A5 - $6.95 from Notemaker
If your giftee is a little more business-oriented and wants something a little more versatile, then this pad should keep them happy. Available in Ruled, 5×5 Grid and plain, it has the Rhodia trademark folding cover and microperforations.
3. Moleskine Star Wars Limited Edition Notebooks – starting at $18.50 from MoleskineAsia
I can’t guarantee these would arrive in time for Christmas, but if I got one a week later, I’d still be happy. They come in lined and plain, pocket and large. Perfect for the Stationery Geek cross SciFi Geek in your life.
Writing Implements:
1. Lamy Logo Fountain Pen – Brushed Stainless Steel - $70ish from all over
While Notemaker is sold out of these, you can actually buy them in shops around the place. They may be a little more however ($80 or so). I have also seen these at Amazon for $35, so you can definitely get a bargain if you shop around. They are a beautiful pen which (I have heard) writes amazingly.
2. Stainless Steel Sharpies – from $4.50 on Amazon
For your Sharpie-obsessed friend, these Stainless Steel permanent markers are perfect. You can even buy refills for the body. They also go great with the new Stainless Steel Sharpie Pens.
3. The Bag-o-Pens – As much as you want to pay, from any stationery retailer (but I love JetPens)
This is fairly self-explanatory. You get a bag (possiby Christmas-themed) and you fill it with pens. It’s like a mixed bag of candy for people like me!
If you can’t decide:
There is always the “Old Faithful” gift vouchers.
